The texts and the ordering of the verses follow the use of the Portuguese Royal Chapel as shown in Formoso, Diogo Fernandes, ed., Passionarium secundum ritum capelle Regis Lusitanie (Lisboa: Luís Rodrigues, 1543), although without the improvements in wording this source offers.
